adminWhile there aren’t many of us here and reading, I would like to set some guidelines to keep interactions and discussions safe.
I originally started this blog for myself, but as I delve into topics that are more opinionated pieces, I find myself wanting feedback. With feedback, I think it’s important to connect and grow as a community. To do this safely, we need some guidelines!
For those who aren’t familiar with community guidelines: they are a set of rules in a community that outline expected behavior, acceptable content, and engagement standards within an online community.
Guideline 1
Think before commenting.
While most thoughts go into comments already, it’s necessary to evaluate your thoughts before posting them. Do they ADD to the content I’ve provided? Does it further discussion? Does it show a respectful alternative?
Let’s foster discussion!
Guideline 2
No hate speech or name calling to incite reactions.
I will not tolerate hate speech of any kind. If you disagree with someone, there are ways to challenge them respectfully. Taunting another commenter, or inciting a reaction from someone else doesn’t maintain a safe space for others.

Guideline 3
Politics can be polarizing. Approach with caution and be OPEN TO OTHER’S OPINIONS.
We are not trying to change beliefs. We should be striving to expand ideas and thinking. If you are discussing politics, be open. Do not try to change other beliefs, but try to provide a new perspective!
Guideline 4
Protect the community from harassment!
If you see a member of our community being harassed, bring attention to it! We protect each other here as a community, so don’t forget to stick up for others.
I will be monitoring comments, so help me pinpoint the content and users that need to be removed!
Guideline 5
Maintain privacy!
Let’s keep everyone, including yourself, safe! Do not divulge any personal information like names, addresses, or any details that give way to where you live. Your privacy matters, and it is vital that you protect yourself.
Feel free to flag any comments that endanger others. Remember that I will try my best to monitor all comments and discourse, but community involvement will help me cover every conversation to ensure this is a safe space for all.
